Mennonite Man Sets Record for Tallest Bowl at Mongo’s Grill

WINNIPEG, MB

Klaas Siemens of Rosenort was in the city this week and decided to stop at his favourite restaurant Mongo’s Grill, where he set a new record for successfully piling the most ingredients into a single bowl.

“The previous record was Bob Wiebe of Winkler,” said Siemens, “but when I saw the photographic evidence, I knew I could beat him.”

As soon as Siemens grabbed the bowl, he aggressively began piling on meat and sauce noodles, layer upon layer, until he’d beat the record.

“Gotta get your money’s worth,” said Siemens. “And if I spill half of it on the way back to the table then so be it.”

Meanwhile Siemens’s wife Sarah only took two tablespoons of rice and a couple baby corns.
