Twitter Mourns the Loss of Jerry Lee Lewis

FERRIDAY, LA

There was an outpouring of grief for rock and roll legend Jerry Lee Lewis, who, according to reliable sources on Twitter, passed away last night at the age of 91.

“The man was a true legend.  I loved everything he ever did, from ‘Great Balls of Fire’ and ‘A Whole Lotta Shakin’ Going On’ to ‘The Bellboy’ and ‘The Nutty Professor.'” @mennoknight69

“Lewis will long be remembered as the man who brought both comedy and rock and roll into our homes. His legacy in the fields of music and film cannot be understated.” @popcultureexpert91

“My great-grandfather used to tell me these amazing stories about how Lewis used to set his piano on fire in order to raise awareness for the MDA.” @theinformedphilanthropist

“I think America should have a holiday in honor of him, just like we do for German Protestant reformer Martin Luther each January.” @lapsedlutheran82

“My attentiveness to details is only surpassed by my appreciation for the work of the late great Jerry Lee Lewis.” @iknowsomestuff
