Steinbach Streets Clogged at 9:30 AM on a Sunday

STEINBACH, MB

There was a massive traffic jam on Steinbach streets this Sunday morning around 9:30 AM. Visitors, the Wiebes from Swift Current, have lodged a complaint about the level of traffic.

“Oba, well what did they expect? Everyone knows that Sunday morning between 9:30 and 10:30 is rush hour!” said Steinbach resident Mr. Fehr. “I’m sure it’s that way in every town!”

The Wiebes said they’d never seen anything like it and found the streets particularly clogged on Loewen, MacKenzie and Highway 52.

“It’s absolute madness. The traffic was backed up for blocks!” said Mr. Wiebe. “I’m not sure what everyone’s doing so early on a Sunday morning, but they sure like to use their horns, let me tell you that!”

The city has recently introduced a new program where church elders will be directing traffic on Sunday mornings.

“Stop. Turn left. The bathroom is down the hall and to your right. Here’s your bulletin,” said Mr. Fehr. “Sounds like a job for me!”

The Wiebes from Swift Current are planing to stick around until Tuesday to witness the massive traffic jam in front of the MCC during the bag sale.
