Prime Minister Mark Carney and singer songwriter Bryan Adams were spotted wolfing down roll kuchen and rabus at the annual Altona Mennonite church picnic this weekend.
“I mean he’s no Justin Trudeau, but that Prime Minister of ours sure likes a photo op,” said Mrs. Klippenstein. “Of course, when you really want to make an impression what better way than to recruit a rock star to slather some Rogers Golden Syrup on a stick of roll kuchen with you.”
It’s not yet known why the Prime Minister and Bryan Adams were together at the same time in Altona, though the connection between the “Everything I Do” singer at the small Mennonite community are well known.
“I’ve loved Altona since the summer of 69,” said Adams. “It’s where I got my first real six-string at the MCC thrift store, of course.”
The duo plan to visit small towns across Canada trying local treats.
“I know John Catucci basically covered everything already on You Gotta Eat Here,” said Mark Carney. “But I’m not so sure he ever had roll kuchen or waffles with white sauce for that matter.”
Meanwhile, across the border President Donald Trump and musician Kid Rock were spotting sitting on a curb sharing a jar of Cheez Whiz.
