Beloved blue-haired mother-of-three Marge Simpson will be buried this week in a family plot near Herbert, Saskatchewan.
“We ask that the public is respectful at this time of mourning for the Simpson family,” said spokesperson Matt Groening. “They really would like their privacy as they lay Marge to rest.”
The death of Marge Simpson came as a shock to many, no more so than in rural Saskatchewan where the family has deep roots.
“It was too wordly, so I never let my kids watch that show,” said local mom Ruth Berg, “but it’s nice to see that Marge is being given a good proper Mennonite funeral at least.”
The funeral will take place this Sunday at the grain elevator in nearby Main Centre. Service will begin at 2 pm with raisin buns at 3.
