Entire House Filled with Aroma of Farmer Sausage

ROSENORT, MB

Joseph Kroeker was minding his own business doing the budget on the computer in the basement when he was stirred to his feet by the smell of farmer sausage wafting down the stairs.

“What’s that I smell? Formavorscht?” said Kroeker sniffing the air. “I sure hope my nose is not deceiving me.”

Kroeker rose to his feet and slowly marched his way up the stairs to find the source of the aroma.

“It’s not just anything that can steal me away from a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet,” said Kroeker. “But cooked sausage is one of them!”

Soon the whole house was filled with the unmistakable aroma and various Kroekers came filing out of their rooms towards the kitchen.

“It’s the only way I can get the family to eat together,” said Diane Kroeker. “Slap a ring of formavorscht on the plate and they even put down their iPhones for a second to enjoy the meal.”

It didn’t take long and all of Rosenort was at the Kroeker’s front door. Thankfully, Mrs. Kroeker is a good proper Mennonite and had more than enough sausage to feed the whole town.
