TABER, AB
Area man Gary Froese, 51, has undergone a radical change in heart about Alberta separatism after a trip to a family funeral in Manitoba this week.
“We had the raisin buns and cheese curds, but I can get those anywhere,” said Froese. “What really won me over was the chicken fingers and honey dill sauce that we had the next morning.”
Froese was so enamoured with the honey dill sauce that he couldn’t envision living a country without access to it.
“Man cannot live on Alberta beef alone,” said Froese. “If Mark Carney can’t unify this country, then honey dill sauce will have to do it.”
Froese filled the trunk of his car with honey dill sauce, and farmer sausage of course.
“I’ll admit there are a few benefits to staying in Canada,” said Froese. “And most of them are food products from southern Manitoba.”
Little does Froese know that he can easily replicate the recipe for honey dill sauce in his own kitchen.
