After months of reminders from his wife Susie to “dress sharp” for church once in a while, area man Rob Letkeman decided to wear his very best Carhartt jacket this Sunday.
“And Carhartt pants, too,” said Letkeman. “I knew I’d immediately impressed the ushers because they look one look at me and suggested I could sit in the balcony.”
Letkeman even took the time to remove all the extra nails and screws from his pants pockets.
“And I left the hammer at home,” said Letkeman. “Susie really appreciated it. So did Pastor Dave.”
Susie was so excited that her husband dressed up for a change that she immediately arranged to do family pictures after the service.
“I don’t think I’ll have him looking this well-groomed and handsome again anytime soon,” said Susie. “You should see what he looks like when he wears his Dickies to church.”
Letkeman says he got many complements on his attire and has even been asked to preach on James 2:2-4 next Sunday morning.
