Mennonite Man Gets Standing Ovation in Switzerland

DAVOS, SWITZERLAND

An unexpected speech from the first man to rebaptize someone as an adult, drew a standing ovation at the World Economic Forum in Switzerland this week.

“Wow, that’s quite the reception,” said Conrad Grebel. “Please, please, sit down everyone. Wow, I didn’t have nearly such an easy time of time it the last time I was here.”

Grebel spoke for three hours on the minute details of his differences of opinion with Ulrich Zwingli, which had the crowd completely spellbound.

“You know, the man makes a whole lot of sense,” said Swiss President Guy Parmelin. “I have no idea why we were so harsh on the Anabaptists back in the day.”

Also on the docket were speeches by Felix Manz and George Blaurock, although every attendee at the World Economic Forum vacated the premises before Jakob Hutter had a chance to lecture them about communal ownership of goods.
