Moments after the US struck a deal to take over the Gordie Howe Bridge, a massive algae bloom was discovered in the Detroit River.
“Someone cut it, cut it with a boxcutter or something,” said President Trump. “Not sure how they did it, but they cut the whole 32 miles of the Detroit River. Nasty people. Simply nasty.”
The algae bloom appeared within minutes of the deal, a phenomenon which has baffled scientists.
“That’s the most rapidly-appearing algae bloom we’ve ever encountered,” said Dr. Friesen. “It’s as if everything that man touches turns to gold, I mean algae.”
It will take a reported $15 billion dollars to clean up the algae bloom, the cost of which will be paid for by the same generous folks who donated money to the White House ballroom.
