SASKATOON, SK
Area man Pete Krahn, 62, did not have a question for the speaker at a local conference this afternoon, but instead stood up and launched into an irrelevant 20 minute anecdote about his childhood.
“I’ve been travelling to Q&A’s across the country to interject my life story into the proceedings,” said Krahn. “Been to Saskatoon, Toronto, Winnipeg, and everywhere in between.”
Krahn’s remarkable skill of taking over the proceedings with his own irrelevant agenda has not gone without notice.
“Book launches, lectures, political debates, you name it, he’s there,” said event organizer Johann Thiessen. “I’ve never seen anything like it. His ability to insert himself with no regard for the intended purpose of the event is truly amazing.”
Usually the host will stop Krahn and ask him to cease his ramblings and ask a question, but Krahn is a man of incredible stamina, who doesn’t let that stop him.
“No, madam, I don’t have a question,” said Krahn, before launching into another 20 minute diatribe. “What on earth about a Q&A would make you think I was supposed to ask a question?”
At a recent book launch in Saskatoon, Krahn stood around right next to the author, just in case anyone might want his signature, too.
