Steinbachers Starve for Lack of Fast Food Chains

STEINBACH, MB

Dozens of Steinbachers expressed their rage on the community Facebook page this week, wondering just when “they” were going to bring a particular fast food restaurant to town.

“I’m sick and tired of living in a community where our only options are McDonald’s, Burger King, Wendy’s, A&W, Dairy Queen, two Subways, three Tim Hortons, Pizza Hut, Starbucks, Domino’s, Pita Pit, Mary Brown’s, Qdoba, KFC, George’s, Little Caesars, Booster Juice, and a half-built Taco Bell!” yelled Mrs. Wiens. “When are they going to do something about the lack of fast food options!”

According to Wiens and all her friends, “they” just aren’t doing enough to bring fast food chains into town.

“I won’t be satisfied until they bring another chain to town,” said  Wiens. “I don’t really care what it is, but it’s the thought that counts.”

Wiens has already started a petition for “them” to do something about the lack of fast food chains, but hasn’t yet figured out who to send it to.

“Once we know who “they” are, then we’ll really be cooking,” said Wiens. “It’s only a matter of time before they fulfill all my fast food needs.”

Wiens says at this point she’ll take just about anything as long as it’s not an Arby’s.
