Dating couple Amanda and Kevin of Landmark drove into the city this weekend to sit in their car with the windows rolled down on Lagimodiere.
“I knew this was a great first date stop,” said Kevin. “When I met Amanda, I thought, well there’s a girl who can appreciate the fragrant aroma of the Maple Leaf plant.”
With a strike imminently on the horizon, the couple is worried their date spot might be ruined.
“I hope they resolve that labour dispute quickly,” said Amanda. “I don’t know where else Kevin and I will cuddle if not on the corner of Lag and Marion.”
If the strike goes on too long, the couple plan to drive around rural Manitoba looking for a farmer who’s doing some late season manure spreading or maybe burning his pasture.
