Christian Man Says ‘Merry Christmas’, Nothing Happens

OMAHA, NE

Absolutely nothing happened after local church-goer Billy Friesen, 42, greeted a stranger on the street with a hearty ‘Merry Christmas’ this past week.

“I don’t get it,” said Friesen. “I was really hoping to trigger a snowflake with my comments, but the guy just turned and said, ‘Thank you, same to you!’ I’m completely confused.”

Friesen was under the impression that saying ‘Merry Christmas’ was a pretty rebellious thing to do in this day and age. He even was under the impression that it was banned in some places.

“I’ve been saying ‘Merry Christmas’ left, right, and centre,” said Friesen. “And not a single person has complained. It’s almost as if Fox News was lying to me or something.”

Friesen spent the rest of the day putting up a nativity scene on his front lawn, and not a single person reported him for a hate crime.

“It’s almost as if my fears were totally baseless,” said Friesen. “I can’t figure out what’s going on!”
