White House to Annex Toronto Blue Jays

TORONTO, ON

After the Blue Jays took a 2-game lead against the New York Yankees, the Americans are utilizing the only strategy left in their repertoire— annexation.

“We call it the World Series, but it’s our game. We are very very good at baseball. Very good,” said US President Donald Trump. “So as of Tuesday evening, we are annexing the Toronto Blue Jays … before it’s too late.”

The plan comes just as Trump met with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.

“Donald Trump is a truly transformational president,” said Carney. “I mean that in the best sense of the word transformational, I truly do. Just look at what he’s doing with the AL East.”

After heated negotiations, Carney maganged to convince Trump that no further action would be necessary.

“It’s already called the American League, right?” said Carney. “So that’s basically a win-win situation for him.”

Carney’s only concession to Trump was an agreement to let him annex the Montreal Expos.
