NEW HAMBURG, ON
Days after it was discovered the Ontario Premier was getting around in a $28 million private jet, Doug Ford announced he would be getting a Martin or Eby to cart him around in a horse and buggy from now on.
“When all else fails, hire a Mennonite,” said Ford, revealing an illustration of his new mode of transportation. “I might not make it more than a few miles in a day, but at least I won’t be wasting taxpayer dollars.”
The new horse and buggy service will cost the Ontario taxpayers 30 bags of oats and 15 of those large round bails each year.
“So, yeah, that’s a lot cheaper than a jet,” said Ford. “Not sure I’ll be able to get in on any trade meetings in DC, but that’s okay.”
Tourists are already flocking to St. Jacob’s to get a snapshot of the Premier en route to the annual Mennonite Relief Sale Quilt Auction.
