Here at The Unger Review we are dedicated to living up to our name. And what better way to do that than to offer a review of a number of notable Ungers. Our Unger critics have thoroughly investigated each of these Ungers, so let’s see how they stack up!
Andrew Unger – This Unger is a 40-something-year old satirist from Steinbach, Manitoba. We like his glasses and occasionally find him funny. The Unger Review score: 6/10.
Felix Unger – Sometimes spelled Felix Ungar, this is the only fictional Unger on this list. Created by Neil Simon, Felix Unger is a “neurotic, neat freak,” who, according to his compatriot Oscar Madison, signs his letters with his initials F.U. We like Felix Unger, but thinks he needs to write his name out fully to avoid offence. The Unger Review score: 7/10
Garry Unger – Garry Unger played 16 seasons in the National Hockey League, scoring more than 400 goals. This is the most goals scored by an Unger in a sport that isn’t kjnipsbrat. For his accomplishments on the ice and his amazing mop of blonde hair, we give Garry Unger an 8/10.
Jim Unger – Author of the Herman comics, Jim Unger was the first Unger ever to bring laughter into our lives. Before Jim, Ungers simply were not funny. He was also a much better drawer than Andrew Unger, who can barely create stick figures. Jim Unger gets a solid 8/10.
Lisa Unger – Lisa Unger is a New York Times bestselling author and definitely gets points for that. She was born Lisa Miscione, however, so she loses some points in terms of real authentic Unger-ness. The Unger Review Score: 7/10
