WASHINGTON, DC
In what critics are calling the “most tasteful renaming of a major American cultural institution in decades,” the Kennedy Center in Washington announced this week that they’d prefer it if people referred to it by its new official name: The Trump Putin Epstein Tech Bros Robert E. Lee FIFA Gulf of America Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
“It just rolls off the tongue,” said arts enthusiast Diane Epp. “Plus the new name simply exudes class. I’m sure looking forward to attending my first performance at the Trump Putin Epstein Tech Bros Robert E. Lee FIFA Gulf of America Kennedy Center.”
President Trump and his fellow honorees were delighted by the unexpected prize.
“It’s so lovely when things like this happen when you don’t even ask for it,” said Trump. “Completely unexpected. Of course, it’s really nice to see my name feature first on the list, as it should be.”
But the changes to the Kennedy Center don’t stop there.
“From now on it’s a lot less ballet and a lot more monster truck rallies,” said Epp. “Oh, and don’t forget the Kid Rock concerts.”
Some have observed that the new signage has been applied to the building with blue classroom sticky tack designed to hold the new name up there just long enough to outlast the Trump administration and then promptly fall off.
