Andrew Unger Sues Time Magazine for Extremely Unflattering Cover Photo

NEW YORK, NY

Calling it the “worst photo of all time,” Mennonite satirist Andrew Unger is now suing Time Magazine for the weird low angle shot they used on a recent cover.

“I don’t mind being named Menno of the Year, but you’d think they could take a nicer photo,” said Unger. “I can’t help but think this is part of the ongoing media plot to make Mennonites look bad.”

The cover caused quite the stir in the online Mennosphere, with some commenting on the strange shape of Unger’s neck and the incompleteness of his shave.

“It’s a little odd,” said social media enthusiastic and avid Time reader Brittany Sawatzky, “but, to be honest, I think most Mennonite men have much worse photos on their Facebook profiles. I mean, is there a Mennonite man alive who can take a flattering selfie?”

Unger is seeking $65 billion in compensation, which he believes he is owed for the damage to his reputation.

“I can’t even walk into the MCC store these days without whispers and giggles,” said Unger. “I really wish they’d just used the church directory photo I sent them.”

8×10 signed prints of the Time cover can be purchased on andrewunger.com for just $606 plus tax.
