RIVERTON, MB
A summer full of unpleasant air has been blamed on Mr. Klassen and his penchant for eating too much cheese.
“I knew the bad air was coming from up north. Probably Riverton or something,” said Mrs. Penner of North Kildonan. “Diewel, I wish that man would light a candle or something after he’s been in there.”
The precise source of the bad air was determined by a team of Grandmas who scoured Mennonite communities across the province.
“Naturally we started in Niverville,” said Mrs. Penner. “Then we sniffed our way through Sommerfeld and Gretna and all the way out to Kola but they all came up smelling like roses.”
Finally the Oma’s trekked north of the city where they discovered a suspicious pile of knackzoat, as well as evidence of sausage and cheese consumption.
“We managed to isolate the poor air,” said Mrs. Penner. “He’ll be given 48 hours to get on an all-cucumber diet. Apparently that does the trick.”
