CHIHUAHUA CITY, MEXICO
Mrs. Thiessen of Campo 67 was very excited to arrive at the airport in Chihuahua this week when she discovered a whole new lounge just for her.
“Nah, oba, would you look at that. The Oma lounge,” said Mrs. Thiessen. “Well I guess I know where I’ll wait for my flight. Not sure where opa will wait, though.”
The Oma lounge features German Bibles and songbooks, yarn for knitting, and plenty of zwieback and jam, of course.
“But it looks like you have to be an Oma to enter,” said Mrs. Thiessen. “All the grandchildren will have to wait by the Carl’s Jr. or something.”
The Thiessens are just beginning their journey to visit relatives in Aylmer and have to make several connections along the way.
“I sure hope there’s an Oma lounge in all the airports,” said Mrs. Thiessen. “It makes traveling with your 63 grandchildren so much easier.”
If successful, the airport plans to open a new Opa lounge, too, which features all-you-can-eat knackzoat and a shop to buy new plaid shirts or a pair of overalls.
