Abbotsford woman Stephanie Friesen has come under a hailstorm of controversy this week after apparently bringing the west coast’s rainy weather with her to Winnipeg.
“I haven’t used an umbrella in October in more than 40 years,” said her cousin Diane. “This is the last time I host a Friesen gathering in autumn.”
Stephanie says she’s really sorry for all the rain, but claims it could be a lot worse.
“I’d think they’d be happy to have some Abbotsford weather around here for a change,” said Stephanie. “But I guess you can never please a Manitoban.”
Stephanie’s Manitoba cousins don’t like the weather, but are just happy she didn’t bring Abbotsford’s housing prices with her.
