WASHINGTON, DC
Trump’s new press secretary lasted just five days on the job after appearing completely unable to string a few words together.
“But as it turns out, she was actually speaking in Plautdietsch the whole time,” said Trump. “No wonder it was confusing.”
The revelation came after it was discovered her name was actually Katie Zacharias from Gretna, Manitoba.
“It’s not her fault she’s totally fluent in Low German,” said Trump. “It was just the rest of us who didn’t understand.”
Zacharias will be allowed to keep her job, while the nation scrambles to learn Plautdietsch.
“We’ll be having everyone saying ‘waut de schissjat’ in no time,” said Trump.
Meanwhile, those who understood the language say they’ve been saying “waut de schissjat?” during White House press conferences for years.
