Oil tankers may once again have free passageway through the Strait of Hormuz after the United Nations has brought in world’s top experts on draining swamps – the Mennonites.
“They did it in Friesland, they did it in Poland. They did it in southern Manitoba, too,” said UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres. “There’s no one would can turn wetland into dry like the Mennonites.”
Head of the Strait of Hormuz drainage team is Bob Klassen of Niverville.
“We’ve got Omas out there scooping up the water with ice cream pails,” said Klassen. “It won’t be long now and we’ll be able to lay down a rail line from Kuwait City to Muscat.”
The oil is already being loaded off the tankers and placed onto Maersk containers in anticipation of the change.
“We’re also going to bring in the Wiebe boys and their highway tractors,” said Klassen. “We’ll get that oil flowing in no time.”
Rumour has it the team of Omas was convinced to help out under the mistaken impression they were increasing the supply of Wonder Oil.
