LEAMINGTON, ON
83-year-old Taunte Liza of Leamington has finally caught herself a catch. This according to the rumours being spread on the prayer chain this week.
“I peeked into the church one afternoon and saw her wrapped in the arms of Andreas Barkman yet,” said Christine Martens. “Of course he quickly unleashed his grip as soon as they saw me.”
Mrs. Martens swiftly hauled out her phone to request prayers for the new couple.
“Next thing you know the whole church was talking about it,” said Taunte Liza. “It was quite embarrassing … more for him than for me.”
Mr. Barkman has not yet been reached for comment, but Mrs. Barkman has already started going by her maiden name.
“From now on I’m going by Barkman,” said Mrs. Barkman. “I mean Barkman my maiden name, not Barkman my married name.”
The church elders are investigating the situation, though early reports suggest they may get off with a lighter punishment.
“At least they weren’t caught on camera attending a rock concert,” said Mrs. Martens. “Now that would be embarrassing.”
