‘KPop Dueck Hunters’ Number One Movie on Mennonite Netflix

VANDERHOOF, BC

A movie about the Hiebert Family Singers has risen to number one on Mennonite Netflix this week.

“The story follows the Hieberts as they face off against their rival gospel quartet known as the Duecks,” explains show producer David Wieler. “But actually the Duecks turn out to be secret Lutherans.”

The show was created after thousands of Mennonite parents forbid their children from watching that other movie over on real Netflix.

“It’s a wholesome alternative,” explained Wieler. “The Hieberts may look like mild-mannered country gospel singers, but they can destroy a team of Lutherans masquerading as Duecks any day.”

The movie also features a hit song called “Golden Syrup.”

“If you live anime, KPop and southern gospel, you’ve come to the right place,” said Wieler. “Make sure to put KPop Dueck Hunters at the top of your queue.”

Wieler later clarified that, in this case, the K in KPop refers not to Korea but Kornelsen.
