ABBOTSFORD, BC
There was a rush to the local MCC this week to get used copies of the latest Taylor Swift album, after it was discovered that Abbotsford fans got a shout out on the title track.
“Hey, Mrs. Klippenstein, thanks for the delicious zwieback,” says Taylor. “Oh and I’ve gotta say big what up to all my Clearbrook peeps.”
Abbotsford Swifties were in tears when they heard the news.
“I never thought my Oma Klippenstein would be featured on Life of a Showgril,” said 21-year-old granddaughter Olga Klippenstein. “I know she had some wild days in Chilliwack back in the 70s, but, yeah, nothing like this.”
Mennonites have not been featured so promimently on an album since that last Heischraitje and Willa Honich album.
Fans plan to have a listening party at their favourite Ricky’s restaurant after church this Sunday.
