WASHINGTON, DC
Calling the website “far too sassy,” the US government announced this week they’d be checking the phones of foreign visitors to see if they had ever liked an Unger Review post.
“We don’t tolerate that kind of humour in this country,” said White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt. “So from now on we’ll be scouring your social media to see if you have anything other than an angry reaction to an Unger Review post.”
Also acceptable will be commenting “this isn’t funny,” and “that gets an unfollow.”
“But good luck getting into the country if you’re following that page,” said Leavitt. “Just remember – here in Washington we’re more stoic and humourless than even the Mennonites.”
Under the new American guidelines, the only legally permitted satire site is The Babylon Bee.
