Fans Petition Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to Induct Paraguayan Harpist Eduard Klassen

STRATFORD, ON

Another year has come and gone and once again legendary Paraguayan harpist Eduard Klassen has been left off the list for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

“It’s outrageous,” said Mrs. Janzen, who’s been listening to Klassen’s soothing and inspirational music for more than two decades. “Surely if Wu-Tang Clan can be considered rock music than so can Eduard Klassen.”

In recent years, the Hall of Fame in Cleveland has broadened the definition of rock music to include everything from country and hip hop to dance pop and jazz, but so far not a single traditional Paraguayan harpist has made the cut.

“Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Queen Latifah–they’re all about as close to rock and roll as they are to Eduard Klassen,” explained Mrs. Janzen. “Might as well induct tenor Ben Heppner while they’re at it.”

Janzen has created a petition to get Eduard Klassen inducted next year. As of press time the petition already has 606 signatures. If successfull, Janzen has plans to try to get Heintje in the Hall of Fame next.
