It was an unexpectedly wild weekend for the Driedgers of La Crete, who decided to spend a couple days up in High Level.
“Jauma, this place is Sin City,” said Mrs. Driedger. “Casinos, water slides, even a Boston Pizza. Na oba!”
This was the Driedgers first visit to the Vegas of the North.
“We’ve been to Grand Prairie, For Vermillion, you name it,” said Mrs. Driedger. “We even spent one lost weekend on Whyte Avenue down in Edmonton. But I’ve never seen anything like High Level before.”
The Driedgers say they enjoyed their weekend, but much prefer La Crete.
“I mean, you can only go so long with The Pizza Place,” said Mrs. Driedger. “It’s good to be back home.”
Meanwhile in southern Manitoba, the Driedgers’s long lost cousins from Winkler spent a wild weekend in Morden.
