Jets Fan Relieved He Finally Has His Evenings Free to Get Some Yardwork Done

RIVERTON, MB

The Winnipeg Jets’ exciting, but brief, playoff run this year has been a huge setback for the Interlake’s biggest Jets fan Art Berg, 63, who’s been holed up inside every evening neglecting his yard.

“It’s a good thing this is all over and I can start tilling the garden,” said Berg. “And according to Linda, I’ve got to stain the deck this year. The list is growing.”

Berg says as much as he loves the Jets, he was beginning to worry about the state of his yard.

“Now that the hockey season is done, I can finally make things presentable around here,” said Berg. “I’m just glad the dandelions haven’t sprouted yet.”

The state of Manitoba yards has been a concern for Jets players.

“”Gotta let those Manitobans enjoy the summer while it’s here,” said Jets goalie Conner Hellebuyck. “We’re happy to help out.”
