WINNIPEG, MB
Winnipeg mayoral candidate Calvin Kleinsasser had a lot of explaining to do this week after his team accidentally ran an ad that included photos of Winkler, Manitoba instead of Winnipeg.
“I don’t know what happened. Not sure how the P.W. Enns Centre got in there. Let alone the Winkler Co-op,” said Kleinsasser. “I truly apologize. I promise you I do know the difference between Winnipeg and Winkler.”
The ad also included a lot more pickup trucks that expected and referred to Winnipeg as Vanapag for some strange reason.
“Maybe I was hacked by the Mennonites. Who knows?” said Kleinsasser. “The video also had dozens of images of Ralph’s and Charley B’s.”
It’s not yet known how the mixup will impact Kleinsasser’s chances in the upcoming election.
“I mean it certainly could be worse,” said Kleinsasser. “At least the streets look clean and not quite so full of potholes.”
Moments after the controversy was revealed, Kleinsasser announced he’d be dropping out of the race and running for mayor of Morden instead.
