Manitoba to Remove PST on Honey Dill Sauce, Premier Says

WINNIPEG, MB

There will be a major reduction on cost-of-living in Manitoba this week after Premier Wab Kinew announced they would no longer be charging PST on honey dill sauce.

“On all groceries, actually,” said Kinew. “But I know Manitobas will be saving millions on honey dill sauce alone.”

The news was met with great excitement across the province.

“Our household budget was pretty tight,” said Candice Smith of St. Vital, “but this new honey dill sauce discount will save us hundreds of dollars a month. Every penny counts in this economy.”

Honey dill sauce is a staple in Manitoba pantries, especially now that Mitzi’s is closed.

“I was having to resort to mixing in my own dill with the honey,” said Smith, “but now with this PST discount, I’ll finally be able to buy Greetalia again.”

While the honey dill sauce news was well received all across the province, in southern Manitoba, locals were more excited to no longer pay PST on schmaunt fat and Roger’s Golden Syrup.
