An innocent civilian in some other country is super grateful to all the foreign powers who decided the best way to bring about his freedom was to rain down missiles onto his neighbourhood.
“When I think of freedom, the first thing I think of is bombs falling from the sky and taking out the whole block,” said Some Guy You Saw on Television from the Comfort of Your Own Home. “You know the regime in charge of this country is really very oppressive, so naturally we’d much prefer to have our cities in ashes.”
It’s well known that rocket launches into civilian areas are among the most effective way to bring peace, democracy, and freedom to a region.
“Thank you, Foreign Overlords, oh thank you,” said Guy from TV. “I feel blessed every day I wake up to the air raid sirens.”
He’s already starting celebrating his newfound freedom.
“Well, not quite yet,” said the man. “But, you know, I’m really going to sit back and appreciate all this amazing freedom, just as soon I’m done with all that unimportant stuff like rebuilding my home from scratch.”
