Hog Farmers Concerned as Manitoba Seeks to Ban AI

NEW BOTHWELL, MB

Mr. Plett is up in arms this week after Premier Wab Kinew announced plans to ban AI.

“What do they expect us to do?” said Plett. “Been so long since I’ve done it the old fashioned way. Doesn’t even feel right.”

Plett has been scrambling to get his hands on a real live boar in time for these changes.

“It won’t be easy, but where there’s a will there’s a way,” said Plett. “Diewel, I wish that Kinew fellow had consulted us hog farmers before banning AI.”

According to Plett’s understanding, any hog farmer caught using AI will face billions in fines.

“And that’ll only raise the price of pork,” said Plett. “It’s basically the only affordable protein these days. Not for long!”

Plett says he’s heard something about an AI chatbot but can’t figure out how to get it produce the results he’s looking for.
