After a leadership review this week, the Conservative Party of Canada has overwhelmingly reaffirmed the leadership of Mark Carney.
“He supports free trade, increased military spending, building pipelines, and supporting war with the Islamic regime of Iran. What more could you want in a Conservative leader?” said party member Dave Siemens. “This is a man who doesn’t just talk the talk of conservatives, but really lives out our values.”
After a full year at the helm of the Conservative Party, Mark Carney has rallied support from all corners of the country.
“We haven’t had a Conservative leader this strong since John Diefenbaker,” said Siemens. “I mean, the man even worked for Harper and is chummy with Danielle Smith. What more could you ask for?”
It should come as no surprise that Carney has strong support among his conservative base out west, but his influence has gone further than that.
“I hear he’s even won over a few Liberals,” said Siemens. “If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times: that Mark Carney fellow is truly a champion of the conservative cause.”
