Mrs. Koop of Kleefeld had to be rushed to the hospital this week after she over-exerted herself trying to get more rhubarb on her vereniki.
“I’m doing okay now, but it was the first time encountering such deliciousness,” said Koop, “so naturally, I was a little out of control.”
The incident occurred after Koop had friends visiting from Jantsied where apparently this rhubarb sauce on vereniki thing is a common occurrence.
“Plus, their schmaunt fat is filled with the farmer sausage drippings from the cast iron pan,” said Koop. “It was just too much for this simple girl from Kleefeld to handle.”
From now on Koop’s husband Darryl will be handling the meal planning.
“We’re going to be having salads,” said Darryl. “At least for a little while.”
In other news, five Loewen sisters are recovering at the Bethesda Hospital this afternoon after encountering brown sugar on their shinkjefleish.
