Mr. Hamm to Return to Ancestral Name of Mr. Schinkjefleisch

SELKIRK, MB

Local accountant Bobby Hamm of Selkirk says he’s sick and tired of hiding his true identity and will be known as Bobby Schinkjefleisch from now on.

“It was time,” said Schinkjefleisch. “I’ve been living a lie for far too long.”

Mr. Schinkjefleisch says it was the influence of the worldly Englishers of Selkirk who forced him to go by the Hamm name.

“But enough is enough,” said Schinkjefleisch. “I’m proud to carry the Schinkjefleisch name. My father was a Schinkjefleisch and his father was a Schinkjefleisch. We’ve been Schinkjefleischs for generations.”

Schinkjefleisch says he realizes the name is more difficult for Englishers to pronounce but hopes his clients will be willing to learn.

“If you want to have your taxes done by Bobby Schinkjefleisch,” says Schinkjefleisch, “you’re going to have to learn how to pronounce three consonants in a row.”

Meanwhile, Mr. Dyck is also thinking of going back to his ancestral name of Mr. Formavorscht.
