Area man Johan Kroeker stopped by his local farm implements dealership looking for an upgrade to his 1893 Massey Harris.
“Yeah, well, I figured it was time,” said Kroeker. “My Martha even told me, Johan, it’s time to treat yourself.”
Kroeker was utterly mesmerized by all the options on the display at the dealership, but was disappointed that not a single one still required the usage of a team of oxen.
“When you only upgrade your farm equipment once a century, you sure see a lot of changes,” said Kroeker. “But it’s mostly cheap junk these days. They sure don’t make them like the used to.”
Kroeker says that someday he might even trade in his Massey Harris for a Massey Ferguson.
