ST. EINBACH, SK
Area man David Giesbrecht, 42, has just quit his job at the local window factory so he can dedicate himself to carting his kids around to various sports.
“Looks like I’m a full time chauffeur now,” said David. “I’ve got no time for an interview, though. Susie has ringette practice in 15 minutes.”
After ringette, David will drop Susie off at home and take Billy over to his indoor crokinole practice.
“Then it’s early tomorrow for our 5 am taekwondo lessons and 8 o’clock hip hop dance class,” said David, running out the door. “This doesn’t even mention the upcoming winter baseball season, the co-ed dodgeball league and the after school Pilates club.“
David says he’s lost more than 20 pounds running around town, opening doors, and hauling gym bags.
“If you think my kids are the athletes, you should see me toss bag after bag of smelly hockey gear into the trunk,” said David. “You’ve really gotta be in shape.”
David’s kids are also planing to sign for equestrian club, swimming lessons, and goat yoga in the coming months.
